This class is for all dog volunteers who have completed their initial training and would like to improve their skills, or just need a refresher. Topics covered will include handling fearful dogs, handling high arousal dogs, and handling dogs who bark, growl, or lunge at other dogs. This class includes discussion, demonstration, and hands-on handling practice. Volunteers are encouraged to take this class more than once, as each session will be different depending on which dogs we work with.
This class may show as an expired opportunity sometimes. If so, no new classes have been scheduled. New dates will be available upon availability by the Behavior Team. Please keep checking back if any spots have been opened.

To be able to respond to this opportunity you have to had gone through the Dog Handling online training, the Hands-on Dog Behavior in person class, at least one Dog Shadowing session and have had uploaded the correct certificates for each of these qualifications.
