Pie Palooza is a fundraiser for the Older Rainbow Community of Albuquerque (ORCA), which provides programs for LGBT seniors across New Mexico. At Pie Palooza, guests can purchase tickets to exchange for a slice of a delicious and unique pie donated by a local baker or volunteer. Whole pies can be purchased during our pie auction or won by participating in a Pie Walk.
Volunteers are needed for event set-up, to slice and serve pie, to sell tickets and welcome guests, and for event clean-up.
11:30am to 1:00 pm
- Set up crew arrives to set up room
- Accept donated pies, capture donor’s name and email, name of pie, unusual ingredients
- last-minute set-up of paper goods, etc.
1:00pm to 3:00pm
- Welcome table, email sign-in and event introduction
- Money table, selling tickets which can be traded for pie and activities
- Slicing and serving pie
3:00 to 4:00
- Clean-up
