The City of Albuquerque is looking for volunteers to count bicyclists at key locations for Bike to Wherever Day 2021. We will be collecting data on Bike to Wherever Day (May 21) and the Friday before (May 14). Volunteer shifts will last 2 hours in the morning. Volunteers will be provided with necessary materials and will be expected to complete shifts without supervision.
This opportunity will require volunteers to be able to travel to the counting location location and sit or stand for about 2 hours to track the number of people that walk or bike past the location. Feel free to bring a camp chair, water, sunscreen, a cup of coffee, and a snack.
There will be up to 2 volunteers at each location - we encourage you to have a friend sign up to work the shift with you! Just send them the link to this page.
Once you sign up, we will reach out with further instructions on where and how to conduct the count and to get you any materials you may need. All volunteers will receive a 2021 Bike to Wherever Day t-shirt and will be entered into the event raffle for additional prizes!
