Description

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community — using the skills and passions you've built over a lifetime? The Assistance League of Albuquerque (ALA) might be exactly what you've been looking for.

The Assistance League of Albuquerque is an all member-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit with over 60 years of philanthropic service to Albuquerque and the surrounding communities. We manage nine programs that serve our neighbors from newborns to seniors — providing school clothing for kids in need, comfort bears for children in crisis, food and supplies for the hungry and homeless, support for assault survivors, scholarships, and much more. With no paid staff, everything we do is powered by people like you.

Our member volunteers come from all walks of life — all united by a shared commitment to making Albuquerque a better place. Whether you have only a few hours a month or a whole lot of heart to give, there's a role here that fits.

How to Get Started
Membership begins with an Orientation — a welcoming introduction to ALA's mission, programs, and community. Registration is required before attending, so your first step is to submit a membership inquiry through our website. From there, we'll guide you through everything.
