Lowrider Bike Club Mentor (Wednesdays)

Description

  • Work with Program Coordinator and other mentors one time per week for two hours to help student build and customize their bikes
  • Provide specialty workshops for students, such as how to do custom body paint jobs, customize their leather seats, etc. 
  • Support the Program Coordinator with other preparations leading up to each after-school class
  • Connect students with community events and competitions to showcase their bikes
  • Develop long-term relationships with students that extend outside of the bike club after they have completed the program
  • Be a community ambassador for the program and invite other community members to volunteer and mentor
