The Community Engagement Coordinator will help the Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian (APINH) Office build strong, direct connections with communities across Albuquerque. Students interested in public policy, social work, or grassroots organizing will thrive in this role.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and hosting listening sessions, focus groups, and tabling events.
- Support multilingual outreach campaigns and educational workshops.
- Connect residents to city services, including housing, small business support, and civic boards.
- Document and report community priorities and feedback to City leadership.
- Contribute to building a stakeholder map of APINH leaders and organizations.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse communities and show cultural humility.
- Organized and dependable, with attention to detail.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred (APINH languages valued).
