Description

The Media & Storytelling Developer will help document and amplify Asian, Pacific Islander, and Native Hawaiian (APINH) stories, creating multimedia that highlights cultural heritage, leadership, and community contributions. This position is ideal for students in journalism, film, digital media, or cultural studies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews and create short videos, podcasts, or photo essays.
  • Work with GovTV and City partners to produce storytelling campaigns.
  • Support multimedia archiving of APINH history and contributions.
  • Curate and edit content for City social media and cultural initiatives.
  • Ensure storytelling projects are culturally authentic and community-driven.

Qualifications

  • Skills in photography, videography, or audio recording/editing.
  • Strong writing and interviewing abilities.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools a plus.
  • Interest in cultural storytelling, journalism, or media production.
