"Dash for the Trash" is an exciting community event hosted by Keep Albuquerque Beautiful and the Solid Waste Management Department, aimed at beautifying the Bosque area through a fun and competitive cleanup. Building on the success of our previous "Junk Jog" event, we are debuting the inaugural Dash for the Trash event to combine exercise and environmental sustainability.
We're putting a twist on the traditional cleanup by adding a little competitive fire. The competition will be measured by seeing who can collect the most debris while walking and jogging along the Bosque and, in doing so, we'll be enjoying and beautifying our community at the same time.
Prizes will be awarded to the top cleaners and the top groups of cleaners, so participants will be welcome to sign up as individuals or groups.
The Bosque, a beloved natural area, requires continual care, and "Dash for the Trash" provides the perfect opportunity for individuals to unite and make a meaningful difference. By blending the spirit of competition with community service, we aim to inspire more residents to get involved and take pride in keeping Albuquerque beautiful.
