*All Balloon Museum Fiesta Volunteers (both experienced and new) are required to attend the 2024 Balloon Museum Fiesta Volunteer Training before attending their first shift.

STEAM Night Activity Assistant
S.T.E.A.M. Night at the Balloon Museum is an evening event for curious minds of all ages. Four times a year, the museum explores a new science, technology, engineering, art, or math theme related to ballooning through performances, demonstrations, experimentation, and hands-on activities.
Position Information: Individuals who enjoy working with young children and interacting with the public are invited to volunteer in this position. Activity Assistants create a welcoming, supportive environment for visitors by encouraging participation in hands-on activities. These range from STEAM experiments to craft projects. Volunteers demonstrate, answer questions, keep the space tidy, replenish materials, and clean up after participants as needed. They may be asked to arrive early to help set up and/or stay after to take down activities and displays.
Considerations: Continuous standing, walking, and bending required inside and potentially outside of the museum around the STEAM night activity stations.
