The Event: The Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is looking for volunteers to help us run an activity table at the Nuclear Museum's Discover STEAM Day.
The Activity: We will be helping visitors experiment with launching their own hot air "balloons" made of trash can liner bags. We will explore the principals of convection, air volume, mass, and density with an emphasis on the excitement of scientific exploration.
The event has been heavily attended in the past. We would love to have your help as we promote the mechanics of lighter-than-air flight!
Logistics: Our table will be indoors. The activity will involve standing and bending, but no heavy lifting. The event runs from 10-3. Partial shifts are available, including set up and take down.
