2022 Summer Reading Program Volunteer (Ages 12-18)
Oceans of Possibilities -- Taylor Ranch Library
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Albuquerque Public Library!
Teen volunteers are a vital part of our summer programming. Volunteers help with all types of programming, from offering and/or assisting with arts & crafts or story time programs, to reading to young children and assisting them with reading games, to stamping Summer Reading Logs and handing out weekly prizes. They can also be asked to help with the day-to-day business of the library, as well as contributing their own special skills on an as-needed basis.
Special events are where our volunteers will really shine. They can help with setting up and tearing down, with doing publicity, and supplying refreshments. Teen volunteers can even plan and put on a special event themselves.
Teen volunteers play an important role at the Library during the busy summer schedule. We are excited to work with you!
What do I need to become a SRP volunteer?
All volunteers must be able to attend an orientation session in order to be considered for the SRP volunteer program.
City policy requires background checks for anyone aged 13+ before being considered to volunteer for the Library. There is no cost to the applicant.
Additionally, the Volunteer Coordinator at your preferred Library Branch will conduct a short interview with you before you can be approved to start volunteering.
Deadline for applications: 22 May 2022
