Join the City of Albuquerque Open Space Division and the Open Space Alliance for a morning of stewardship in the Rio Grande bosque! Arrive by 8:30 to enjoy donated morning snacks, sign in, and choose a project. Prize for the weirdest piece of trash!

There are three ways to participate:

1. Community cleanup at the Northeast corner of Central Avenue Bridge. Parking is limited, so please carpool if possible. Volunteers should dress for working outdoors and bring water, a hat, work gloves, and sunscreen. Kirtland Outdoor Recreation will also provide rafts for a limited number of people to clean along the river. Spaces are limited to arrive early the day of the event to reserve your space!

2. Organize your own bosque clean-up. If you have a favorite area of the bosque, consider hosting a clean-up of your own! Open Space will provide trash bags; call 768-4960 to sign up.

3. Clean the river if your own boat. You must provide your own transportation and shuttle for your boat. Visit EMNRD.state.nm.us for required NM State Parks Boating safety regulations.
