Volunteers Needed to Help Prepare the Barelas Softball Complex for the 2022 season!

The City is currently leveling the infields at the Barelas Softball Complex – prepping for the return of softball play this spring.

As part of the preparation process, the Recreation Division’s “Sports Office” (at Jerry Cline Tennis & Recreation Center) has initiated field lighting repairs and asphalt parking lot improvements. 

As a continuation of the process, the Sports Office is also arranging for a “VOLUNTEER CLEAN UP DAY” at the complex – Saturday, February 12, 2022 (10AM to 2PM).  I’d like to ask for your help in forwarding this information to the ball players in the Senior League.  The VOLUNTEER CLEAN UP will represent a way that the senior league players can give their time to help keep the Barelas Softball Complex in good shape. 

In some respects, a good volunteer turn out can help to justify not charging the senior league for the use of the complex.
