Description

This NM NeighborWoods tree planting is funded by the EPA and organized by Tree New Mexico in the International District. Volunteers plant trees with trained Team Leaders. Tree New Mexico provides instructions ahead of time, tools, maps to the tree planting location, and basic tree planting guidance. At the location, the hole is dug, the tree to be planted and mulch is nearby, and the resident provides a hose and water.

During COVID regulations, we plant in small groups, with masks and social distance. If conditions change, we will change our system and notify you by email.

Please bring a mask, water, hat, sunscreen, any tree planting tools you have, and wear closed toe shoes.

I will email the address in the neighborhood to pick up tools or the map to meet your group two weeks before the event. This helps us communicate more effectively and limit last minute changes.

Children 11-years-old and older are welcome to plant with their parent or guardian. Children 15-years-old and older can plant as adults.

Please email Tamar at Trandall@treenm.com with any questions or concerns.
