The Atrisco Acequia Madre Celebration is a time when community members are invited to learn about and share their ideas for the Atrisco Acequia Madre Plan project. This celebration honoring the site of the Atrisco Acequia Madre headwaters is being hosted in partnership with Bernalillo County, the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District, the City of Albuquerque, the ABQ/Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority, the South Valley Regional Association of Acequias and CESOSS(Center for Social Sustainable Systems).
Volunteers will assist with welcoming guests to the event, handing out flyers and project materials and orienting guests to the site and activities.
