Juneteenth Hydration Volunteers Needed

The City of Albuquerque will be hosting Juneteenth 2021 at Civic Plaza and we need a lot of support to make it a success. This event will be held on June 18th, 19th, and 20th and we have several shifts each day.

About the opportunity:

Sanitation volunteers help keep the Juneteenth Celebration attendees comfortable and safe by providing extra staffing support for our One Albuquerque tables. This event will be outdoors, so ensuring that water is easily available to attendees is essential for safety and accessibility.

This is one of our less physically demanding volunteer positions during the celebration weekend--volunteers may be required to stand/sit for long periods. Volunteers should dress for comfort and be aware of the weather and exposure when selecting attire for their shifts.

While many roles during set up may be require certain skills/abilities, we encourage all volunteers who are interested to register. If you have different abilities you would prefer to use to support this work, please leave us a note when you register to let us know if there is any work that you would rather not do or would need support or accommodations to accomplish.
