Description

Please feel free to sign up for more than one role:

Sponsor a migrant or a family: Host a family at their home or church for up to three months until the migrants has found suitable housing. 

Family Liaison (Spanish required) A family or individual will be assigned to you, and you will help coordinate needed services, acting as a case manager to assist Asylum seekers with referrals to services, : helping those with children register for school or child development/daycare, job coach, connecting them with resources, coordinating transportation provided by our transportation team, coordinating medical services provided by our Medical Team, etc.

Interpreters/Translators (Spanish required) On occasion, we have volunteer opportunities to accompany asylum seekers to medical appointments or for in-home medical care, document translation, specifically for work permits, etc.

Transportation (No Spanish required) Receiving requests by Family Liaison volunteers to provide transportation to and from various appointments, such as ICE check-ins, medical care, food or clothing needs, etc. 

Project Volunteers (no Spanish required) We sometimes have small projects that are one-time tasks, such as clothes sorting, errands, deliveries, etc.
