Description

Warehouse 505 is seeking passionate and community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of our organization.

As a board member, you will play a vital role in supporting Warehouse 505's mission of providing free, year-round programs and safe spaces for all Central New Mexico youth through arts, education, entrepreneurship, and career development.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have an understanding of Warehouse 505's youth programs and mission, and are committed to learning about our work.
  • Have knowledge of nonprofit governance and the responsibilities of serving on a nonprofit board.
  • Are excited to serve as ambassadors for Warehouse 505 within the community.
  • Can actively participate in regular monthly board meetings, commission meetings, and organizational planning.
  • Are willing to contribute their time, professional expertise, networks, and community connections to strengthen our programs and expand our impact.
  • Can attend and support our seven end-of-semester youth showcases each year.
  • Are interested in helping develop new partnerships and attract program sponsors and community supporters.
  • Are passionate about creating free, inclusive, and safe spaces where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.


Volunteer Role: Board Member

Skills & Experience: Nonprofit leadership or governance, community engagement, fundraising, business, education, finance, legal, marketing, youth development, or other professional expertise that can benefit the organization.

Time Commitment: Approximately 4–8 hours per month, including regular board meetings, committee work, community outreach, and attendance at youth showcases and special events.

Location: Board meetings and events are primarily held in person at Warehouse 505 in Albuquerque, with some virtual participation available as appropriate.


Serving on the Warehouse 505 Board of Directors is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of New Mexico youth by helping ensure that creative, educational, and career-building opportunities remain free and accessible for everyone.
