Each year we partner with members of the community to put together Thanksgiving Meal Boxes for all of the families we serve at Cuidando Los Niños.
The boxes include ingredients for a thanksgiving meal to take home the week of thanksgiving. We also do grocery gift cards for the families who are living in shelters or motels and do not have access to a kitchen to cook. Gift cards allow them to be able to buy a pre-made meal for their family.
This year we need a total of 78 boxes and 20 $75 grocery store gift cards. 48 of the boxes are already claimed, so we still need community members to donate 30 Boxes and the 20 gift cards.
Based on your capacity, you can decide how many of these boxes/gift cards you'd like to create/fund.
As for logistics, we will need all assembled boxes delivered on November 24th between 9a-12p to 1500 Walter St, SE 87102, stucco building at North End of property.
Boxes Include: Frozen Turkey, Turkey Bag/Pan, Mashed Potatoes (Boxed), Stuffing (Boxed) Gravy, Dinner Rolls Vegetables Frozen or canned, Cranberries canned, Pumpkin or Pecan Pie, Butter.
