On Saturday, October 18th, the City of Albuquerque's Parks & Recreation Departments Open Space Division and the Albuquerque BioPark will host their annual Dia Del Rio Volunteer Project. Dia Del Rio celebrates the Bosque and the Rio Grande with our efforts to help keep it clean and healthy. Projects will include trash cleanup, non-native plant removal, and possibly some seeding and planting of native plants. In the past, we have also had a River Float/ Trash Removal however, given recent river levels we will have to see if this is possible closer to the day of the event. Please wear appropriate clothing and closed toe footwear, and bring water, work gloves, and sunscreen. We will provide all of the tools and equipment needed for the various projects. Morning snacks and coffee will be provided, and, at the end of the project there will be a raffle for a variety of prizes in gratitude for your time and effort.
Dia del Rio will run from 9:00 until Noon and we will be meeting at the Main Tingley Beach Building. Parking can be limited so please try to carpool if you can.
We Look Forward to Seeing You at Dia Del Rio!
