Join Open Space Division (OSD) in this 2.5 hour indoor, classroom training at the Open Space Visitor Center meeting room to take the first step in becoming a Bosque Steward Volunteer. This program focuses on restoring and protecting over 5,000 acres of riparian habitat directly along the Rio Grande — as a Bosque Steward, you can join the OSD in taking action to control the spread of invasive, non-native plant species in our open space area. Gain hands-on experience in other habitat restoration projects in the bosque such as native seed dispersal, shrub and tree plantings, trail maintenance, trash clean-ups, social trail closings, and other habitat enhancement activities.
