Expired

Description

The City of Albuquerque’s Office of Civic Engagement is excited to welcome thousands of visitors to the upcoming IEEE Quantum Week — the IEEE International Conference on Quantum Computing and Engineering (QCE) Quantum Conference at the Albuquerque Convention Center! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help greet attendees and guide them around downtown.

What you’ll do:

  • Welcome conference guests with a friendly smile
  • Assist with directions to nearby hotels, restaurants, and attractions
  • Help attendees navigate the Convention Center and surrounding area

Please note: this role will include standing outside for portions of your shift, so comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended.

This is a wonderful chance to show off our city’s hospitality while being part of an international event happening right here in Albuquerque!

The upcoming IEEE Quantum Conference is more than just an event, it is part of Albuquerque’s bold vision to become the nation’s hub for quantum technology. Quantum computing is a once-in-a-generation opportunity, poised to power advancements in fields like artificial intelligence, medicine, finance, and national security.

By volunteering, you’re not only welcoming thousands of visitors to our city, you’re helping showcase Albuquerque’s innovation, hospitality, and commitment to the future. Just as nuclear energy once transformed Albuquerque, this moment positions us to leap into the next era of technology. Volunteers are a vital part of making that vision real.
