5/16/20 Heritage Day
Each year in May, Casa San Ysidro joins the Corrales Historical Society in celebrating our local heritage during a free event that exhibits the living traditions of New Mexico. The historical heart of Corrales comes alive with opportunities for people to engage in with local historical activities. Heritage artists will also be showcasing and selling their art as well as providing information on their craft.
Throughout the day participants may visit with a local blacksmith as he works the forge, try traditional horno baked bread, learn how to create Spanish Colonial crafts like tinwork art and straw inlay, spin and weave wool with Las Arañas, and acquire gardening techniques with the Sandoval County Master Gardeners.
