Save Lives and Bring Hope
Many people’s introduction to AFSP comes through the Out of the Darkness Walks. In our Community Walks, those affected by suicide – and those who support them – raise awareness and much-needed funds, strongly sending the message that suicide can be prevented, and that no one is alone.
Suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in the United States. To prevent suicide, we need to understand it first.
Funds raised at the Out of the Darkness Albuquerque Walk directly support research, advocacy efforts, and educational programs in schools, workplaces, and communities across NM.
