The mission of Cuidando Los Niños is to break the cycle of homelessness for children and their families. Since 1988, Cuidando has provided comprehensive support services that strengthen the entire family through high-quality early childhood education, re-housing assistance, workforce guidance, counseling, and transportation services.
Each year, we proudly celebrate our preschool graduates as they transition into kindergarten. To help set them up for success, we like to provide every child with the essential supplies they need to begin the school year feeling confident, prepared, and excited to learn.
We are looking for community partners/donors to support our annual Kindergarten Readiness Donation Drive.
We need to provide 16 graduating preschool students with:
- A new first-day-of-school outfit (boys and girls clothes size 4t,5t or 6t)
- A new pair of shoes (boys and girls shoes in size toddler 8-13)

A backpack filled with school supplies and personal care items
water bottle, hand sanitizer, pencil case, box of tissues, 24 #2 pencils, 24ct crayons, bottle of glue, 4 glue sticks, blunt ended scissors, 2 folders w/ prongs, 4 pink erasers, box of colored pencils, 2 spiral notebooks, box of washable markers.
For many of the families we serve, purchasing these items creates a significant financial burden. This drive ensures that every child starts kindergarten with the tools they need to thrive academically and socially.
