You can help shelter animals in our care by providing homemade items for their comfort and enrichment. All pets need behavioral enrichment items to keep them busy, happy, and stimulated while they live within a shelter environment.
We've partnered with Comfort for Critters to provide a number of free, Do-It-Yourself crafting patterns to help you every step of the way. AWD is encouraging participants to create handmade items such as cozy blankets, snuffle mats, tug-of-war ropes, catnip toys and cat scratchers.
These items can be dropped off at both the Eastside and Westside Shelters.
