Town of Edgewood Animal Shelter

At the Edgewood Animal Shelter, we believe every animal deserves kindness, safety, and a helping hand. Working alongside the Edgewood Police Department’s Animal Control Officers, our shelter team cares for animals in need while helping create a safer, more compassionate community for both pets and people. Our work includes caring for lost and impounded animals, helping dogs and cats find loving homes, reuniting lost pets with their families, responding to animal welfare concerns, and providing education and resources to our community. We proudly serve animals and residents within the Town of Edgewood limits.

The Town of Edgewood Animal Shelter is proud to have achieved no-kill status through Best Friends Animal Society, reflecting our commitment to lifesaving outcomes and compassionate care for the animals who come through our doors. Our mission is to: Provide compassionate care to every animal while they wait for their next chapter. Promote adoption and reunification by connecting pets with loving homes and helping lost animals return to their families. Protect and strengthen the human-animal bond through education, outreach, and responsible pet ownership. Build lifesaving partnerships with shelters, rescues, veterinarians, fosters, volunteers, and community organizations. Give our community meaningful ways to help through volunteering, fostering, adoption, donations, and outreach.
