We are looking for Albuquerque residents from all backgrounds who are interested in public safety, accountability, and civic engagement.
What We Do
The Civilian Police Oversight Advisory Board (CPOAB) is a five-member board appointed by the City Council. The Board reviews investigations into complaints involving APD personnel, makes policy recommendations, and hears public comment at monthly meetings.
Board members serve three-year terms. The CPOAB meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:00 PM in the Vincent E. Griego Chambers at City Hall.
Serving on the CPOAB is a meaningful way to contribute to public safety, accountability, and police oversight at the local level.
