Who We Are
Good Samaritan Society focuses on uplifting every patient’s quality of life so they can experience peace and comfort through the next steps of life’s journey. Whether you or your loved one receive care at one of our hospice locations, a long-term care center or at home, our experienced care team strives to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support while making sure each patient’s wishes are listened to and carried out.
What We Do
Volunteer provides patient support services to hospice patients and their families in conjunction with other members of the hospice care team. They simply spend time with the patient, talking or reading to them and keeping them company. Volunteer also often play the patient’s favorite games with them, like cards or chess. Volunteer may also talk with patients about current events, watch a television show or movie, if that’s something that the patient is interested in. This support is provided in the patient’s home, at the inpatient unit or in a long term care facility in accordance with the volunteer’s experience and training and in compliance with organization policies.
