Who We Are
The East Downtown (EDo) Neighborhood Association formed in 2001, as a distinct part of the Huning Highland Historic District in an effort to represent and support primarily the businesses in our area. We have always been committed to honoring the history of the area while working for the future. In 2003, the neighborhood hosted a 5-day public charrette at the First Baptist Church. This charrette assembled a team of world-class architects, urbanists, engineers, transportation specialists, and retail consultants, along with the community to put together a Master Plan for EDo. We believe that through continued collaborative work, East Downtown can be a great place for the widest variety of Albuquerque citizens to live, work, walk, shop, worship, learn, and play. We want to build upon this diversity to see EDo become the most walkable neighborhood in Albuquerque.
What We Do
We want to see the EDo / Huning Highlands neighborhood become more vibrant, classy & walkable. We’re doing this by connecting EDo business leaders with the community, the city, and one another.
