Who We Are

Wilderwood’s vision is to open sustainable and achievable pathways for autistic children and adults to flourish as thriving members of their communities, and to honor, care, and educate about our equine partners. Wilderwood actively involves the community to help improve health, social, and economic outcomes for autistic children and adults. Wilderwood's six programs are: * Hautism: Retreat for autistic adults * E/ASEL: Equine/Autistic Social Emotional Learning program for children and youth * Equine Experience * Guided Walk/Talk Coaching * Autism assessments for adults * Research and development with focus on autistic women, transgender, LGBTQ, and nonbinary communities * Clinics, seminars, and workshops

What We Do

Wilderwood’s innovative autistic led, equine inspired programs, research, and services open opportunities of possibility for autistic adults, children, and youth. Wilderwood also provides a lifetime home for unwanted horses, and educates the community about autism and horses.
