The Race Amity Project of New Mexico

We are a local organization whose mission is to bring together diverse peoples for conversation, connection and collaboration. We reach out to high schools and middle schools to provide historical videos on cross-racial friendships that have shaped our history. We also sponsor a Vibrant Community Art Contest for students to express how they want their community to look like in terms of racial equality, justice and inclusion.

We host the annual Race Amity Festival in Albuquerque, NM on the 2nd Sunday in June. Next year we will be having the Festival on a Saturday June the 8th to facilitate greater participation in our Festival. We invite small business to participate and we enjoy music, story-telling, food and the opportunity to engage in conversations with others we might not otherwise meet.
