About Project ECHO
Project ECHO was created to meet the needs of New Mexicans; today, we tackle the world’s greatest challenges.
Dr. Sanjeev Arora founded Project ECHO to ensure the right knowledge exists at the right place at the right time. His mission began when his patient, a 43-year-old widow and mother of two, died of a treatable disease.
That's why he created the ECHO Model; its “all teach, all learn” approach is the infrastructure for knowledge-sharing in rural and underserved communities around the world.
What We Do
Project ECHO for Education - How ECHO is Making a Difference
Together, our global community is working to eliminate health and social disparities.
Using the ECHO Model, people in communities around the world access critical and life-saving knowledge while receiving mentorship and ongoing support to make a difference in their community.
Experts and participants learn from one another as knowledge is refined and tested through local experience. Our inclusive approach informs every ECHO program and session.
