Who We Are

Albuquerque Center for Hope & Recovery (ACHR) is proud to be the longest standing peer-run non-profit organization in Albuquerque, New Mexico. For the past 20 years, ACHR’s mission has been to support people who live with mental health or co-occurring mental health and substance abuse challenges. Through peer support, in a safe environment, ACHR aims to help people experience positive life growth by focusing on hope, humor and personal responsibility.

What We Do

As you may know, the issue of behavioral health, unemployment and homelessness is a critical issue in our state and community. By collaborating with advocates, peers in recovery, businesses, and other entities, we want to support these initiatives by creating strong community partnerships conducive to supporting the needs in our community. We are very proud of the work conducted thus far through services provided by Albuquerque Center for Hope & Recovery in areas such as: peer support, job development and retention, and behavioral health awareness.
