The Loma Linda Community Center houses the administrative offices for the Therapeutic Recreation Program. The Program provides fully inclusive programs for youth and adults with and without disabilities at many sites throughout the city of Albuquerque.
Therapeutic Recreation programs are fully inclusive, and are offered throughout the city for persons with and without disabilities, age 6 through high school, and some adult programs. A variety of services are offered including art, leisure education, performing arts, gross motor activities, and games. The dates and times of programs will vary with each program.
Programs are available at the schools listed below. Before and after school hours are 7 a.m. until classes begin, and school dismissal until 6 p.m. Children kindergarten through 5th grades are eligible, including students in Special Education.
Loma Linda Community Center is an After School program only, and serves students from any APS school. Loma Linda Community Center serves K-12. Transportation provided from Lowell Elementary School only.
