Albuquerque Public Libraries

The Albuquerque Public Library serves communities all across Albuquerque, and there is sure to be an opportunity for you to volunteer your time to make a difference in your neighborhood. There are many ways to volunteer with the Library directly:

• Assisting with the essential administrative tasks that keep a Library in good order for the public;
• Opportunities to provide literacy or other activities to youth from the neighborhood;
• Opportunities for your service/therapy animal to help a child learn to read;
• And more!

There are also many ways for the public to volunteer indirectly with the Library: Your local Branch Library is a great place for you to offer your skills to the rest of the community through clubs and interest groups. If you’re passionate about crafting, book clubs, or discussion groups, the library offers opportunities for you to build your interest in the programming offered at your local branch to build a community around a topic or to share a skill with the community. There’s something for everyone at the libraries!
