Volunteer: 2025 Balloon Fiesta: Balloon Museum | Indoor Greeter

General Volunteer Information: Balloon Museum Fiesta Volunteers are required to volunteer for at least three 4-hour shifts between Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 12th.

 

Balloon Museum Fiesta Volunteers who sign up for and complete 12 hours will receive great perks, including the following:

Position Information: Museum Greeters welcome visitors warmly as they enter the Balloon Museum. They offer directional information and answer questions about the museum, Balloon Fiesta, and events at the museum. This includes being familiar with the daily calendar of activities to direct groups and visitors.

 

Considerations: Continuous standing required inside the museum at the entrance lobby. Accommodations can be made for seating if physical conditions require.

 

Be sure to sign up for the 2025 Balloon Museum Fiesta Volunteer Training on either Monday, September 23rd at 10:00 am OR Saturday, September 28th at 2:30 pm

Position Information: Elevation Station Hosts create an engaging and welcoming environment for children and adults in our interactive exhibit room. They encourage healthy participation by modeling interactive game play on the touch table, on the projection walls, and at the wind tunnels. Hosts monitor the capacity in the exhibit, keep the space tidy, replenish materials, clean high-touch surface areas, and coordinate with Museum staff to troubleshoot technical issues in the exhibit, if needed.

 

This position also includes orienting and overseeing visitors to the adjacent Anderson Theater. Ushers welcome visitors, alert them to show times at the theater, help them find seats, and answer questions. They support the function and experience of the theater in any way possible.


 

Considerations: This position involves continuous standing, walking, and bending required inside of the museum at the Elevation Station exhibit.
