Opportunities From: One Albuquerque Volunteers

Keep Albuquerque Beautiful and Locker #505 are teaming up to sponsor the 13th Annual Recyclothes event at Hinkle Fun Center. Every year, thousands of students in the greater Albuquerque area and their families go without basic necessities. Recyclothes is a clothing drive that directly benefits those students. Locker #505 partners with Albuquerque schools to make sure students in need have clothes, shoes, undergarments and coats so they can focus on learning.

Keep Albuquerque Beautiful is looking for volunteers to help coordinate traffic flow and help unload vehicles. Volunteers will be provided with light refreshments.

Volunteers will be greeting attendees as they arrive and assisting with any questions. You may be asked to walk with guests to show them to specific areas or asked to assist other teams as necessary.

Volunteers will be assisting us with the support and management of the collection and sorting of the compostable, recyclable, and trash during and post-event. This is a very important role for this sustainability-focused event! We will be partnering with Little Green Bucket.

Volunteers will assist with directing vehicles to appropriate loading spaces and redirecting to appropriate parking areas after check-in, traffic control, and maintaining check-in lists.

Volunteers will be driving attendees who need mobility assistance to and from the general parking lot in golf carts. Must be 18 and have a valid driver's license.

Volunteers will be assisting those providing the food demos. This will be at a faster pace and may include food handling, utensil washing, and other food-related tasks.

Volunteers will be present to support any First Aid needs through the event.

Volunteers will assist vendors with breaking down their booths, picking up and sorting trash and recycling, and addressing other needs after the event concludes. Some heavy lifting (folding tables, etc.) may be required.

Volunteers for Children's Activities will help organize games and activities, including arts & crafts, a rock wall, and the Rolling River, while encouraging children and families to have fun and enjoy the area.  You will be providing a safe, fun, and creative environment. Volunteer orientation via Zoom is required, date, time, and log-in information to come!
