Warehouse 505 is seeking passionate and community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors and help shape the future of our organization.

As a board member, you will play a vital role in supporting Warehouse 505's mission of providing free, year-round programs and safe spaces for all Central New Mexico youth through arts, education, entrepreneurship, and career development.

We are looking for individuals who:

Have an understanding of Warehouse 505's youth programs and mission, and are committed to learning about our work. Have knowledge of nonprofit governance and the responsibilities of serving on a nonprofit board. Are excited to serve as ambassadors for Warehouse 505 within the community. Can actively participate in regular monthly board meetings, commission meetings, and organizational planning. Are willing to contribute their time, professional expertise, networks, and community connections to strengthen our programs and expand our impact. Can attend and support our seven end-of-semester youth showcases each year. Are interested in helping develop new partnerships and attract program sponsors and community supporters. Are passionate about creating free, inclusive, and safe spaces where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.

Volunteer Role: Board Member

Skills & Experience: Nonprofit leadership or governance, community engagement, fundraising, business, education, finance, legal, marketing, youth development, or other professional expertise that can benefit the organization.

Time Commitment: Approximately 4–8 hours per month, including regular board meetings, committee work, community outreach, and attendance at youth showcases and special events.

Location: Board meetings and events are primarily held in person at Warehouse 505 in Albuquerque, with some virtual participation available as appropriate.

Warehouse 505 is a 501c3 nonprofit providing free, year round afterschool programs for youth, ages 13-20. We focus on creative arts and crafts, music, and youth entrepreneurship.

We are seeking an experienced graphic designer and web developer/programmer to volunteer their skills in helping us redesign and improve our website warehouse505.org through GoDaddy.com.

We are looking for someone with experience in website design, user experience, SEO, graphic design, and basic programming who can help us create a more modern, accessible, and engaging online presence for our youth programs, community events, and organization. This is a great opportunity for a creative professional who wants to use their skills to support a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering New Mexico youth through arts, education, entrepreneurship, and career development.

Volunteer Role: Graphic Designer & Web Developer

Skills Needed: Website design, GoDaddy experience, graphic design, programming/web development, UX improvements

Time Commitment: Flexible based on availability and project scope

Location: Can be completed in person at Warehouse 505 or remotely depending on the volunteer’s preference and project needs.

We are looking for someone with experience in grant research, proposal writing, foundation and corporate funding, and nonprofit storytelling who can help identify funding opportunities, prepare compelling grant applications, and strengthen our long-term sustainability. Experience with RFPs, LOIs, as well as governmental and private grant writing preferred.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled writer who wants to use their expertise to support a local nonprofit dedicated to empowering New Mexico youth through arts, education, entrepreneurship, and career development.

Volunteer Role: Grant Writer Skills Needed: Grant writing, grant research, nonprofit writing, proposal development, budgeting (helpful but not required), strong written communication, attention to detail. Time Commitment: Flexible based on availability and grant deadlines. Location: Can be completed in person at Warehouse 505 or remotely depending on the volunteer's preference and project needs.
