Volunteer: Rio Grande Food Project's 10th Annual Hike to End Hunger

This is RGFP's largest event of the year, and we need additional volunteers! We need volunteers in the days leading up to the event to help with sorting/ organizing t-shirts. The day of-  tasks vary; but directing vendors to their tables, setup/break down/ helping with registration/name tag table, running fun yard games like corn hole, and hikers to be stationed along the path at Pat Hurley Park (Lower Loop and upper loop stations, along the route) to encourage our hikers and give them directions!

Volunteer: Feed our Community - Weekly Food Distribution

The Rio Grande Food Project operates weekly free food distribution events every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday morning from 9-11 am. Volunteers arrive at 8:30 and finish by 11:15 am.


The Food Project is seeking regular weekly volunteers to assist guests in transporting food boxes to their vehicles using grocery carts and, as requested, assist in loading food into guest vehicles. Volunteers may be asked to stoop, bend, push, pull, and lift boxes weighing up to 25 (twenty-five) pounds.
