Volunteer: Hospitality Volunteers Needed

We need a few friendly faces to volunteer as Hospitality Volunteers. Hospitality Volunteers help set up and serve a light meal, and then help clean up afterwards. The time commitment is 1 hour, twice per month -- from September to May. You will be needed from 5:15-6:15pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening, or 11:15am-12:15pm on Wednesday. about every other week, from September through May.

Volunteer: Volunteer Bereavement Facilitators

Volunteer Bereavement Facilitators are the backbone of our program. They lead grief support groups for children, teens, or adults at the Center for Hope and Healing in Albuquerque. Facilitators are trained, teamed up with an experienced facilitator, and supported by our staff. Facilitators are from all backgrounds and don't need experience in support groups or counseling. As one of our volunteers wrote, “This is the most rewarding thing I do.” The time commitment is approximately 3.5 hours twice a month for one service year (September to May), after completing the initial training. The next training is scheduled for August 1st and 2nd. Go to www.griefnm.org/training to register. A background check, confidentiality agreement, and references will be required.
