Opportunities From: One Albuquerque Volunteers

Want to help Meals on Wheels feed the hungry and homebound of New Mexico?
Join us as a volunteer and make a real difference in our community!

Just one shift per week helps provide meals to over 1,000 citizens of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. Our drivers deliver Monday through Friday between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm — and for about 85% of our clients, you're the only friendly face they'll see that day.

We deliver out of three convenient sites in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho areas, so you won’t have to travel far to get involved.

We Have a Variety of Volunteer OpportunitiesBut our greatest need is for:

Driver Volunteers: Deliver meals to clients in your area.

Kitchen Volunteers: Help us prepare meals in the mornings before delivery. A great way to support our mission if you'd rather be behind the scenes!

Volunteer Training & Support:

If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, attend one of our in-person training sessions, held every Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
You’ll also have the opportunity to go on a ride-along with an experienced driver to help you feel confident and supported on your route.

Volunteer Requirements:

Driver Volunteers:

Must be 18 years or older

Have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance

Kitchen Volunteers:

Must be at least 14 years old with a parent or guardian

Or 16 years and older to volunteer independently
