Marketing Director – Board of Directors Angels' Voices Silenced No More (AVSNM)
Angels' Voices Silenced No More (AVSNM) is a New Mexico-based nonprofit dedicated to advocacy, awareness, and support for families of the missing and murdered. We are seeking a volunteer Marketing Director to join our Board of Directors and help amplify our mission across New Mexico and beyond.
About the Role
The Marketing Director serves as a voting board member and leads all strategic communications and brand efforts for AVSNM. This is a working board seat — the right candidate brings both strategic vision and a willingness to roll up their sleeves.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee AVSNM's marketing and communications strategy across digital, social, and print channels
- Manage brand consistency and messaging in alignment with the organization's mission and values
- Lead promotional campaigns for AVSNM programs, initiatives, and events
- Support sponsorship and community outreach efforts through compelling storytelling and collateral development
- Collaborate with board leadership on media relations, press releases, and public-facing communications
- Guide social media strategy and content planning
What We're Looking For
- Background in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
- Experience with nonprofit, advocacy, or cause-driven organizations is a plus
- Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic design principles
- Passion for justice and the families we serve
- Ability to attend monthly board meetings and contribute meaningfully between sessions
This is a volunteer position. Board members serve without compensation and are expected to participate actively in organizational governance and mission delivery.
