Pet Therapy – Share the healing power of animals by providing comfort, companionship, and emotional support to patients.
Hospice Companions- Compassionate individuals who provides emotional support, companionship, and a comforting presence to patients receiving end-of-life care.
Massage Therapy – Help enhance relaxation and well-being through soothing, gentle touch.
Haircare Specialists – Assist patients in feeling refreshed and cared for by offering hairstyling and grooming services.
Music Healing Volunteers – Use the transformative power of music to bring peace, joy, and emotional relief to those in hospice care.
Vigil Volunteers: Our Hospice Vigil Volunteers provide the compassionate gift of presence during a patient’s final hours. These specially trained volunteers sit bedside, offering comfort, companionship, and a calming presence so that no one has to die alone. Vigil Volunteers may read softly, play gentle music, hold a hand, or simply sit in peaceful silence—ensuring patients and their families feel supported, honored, and cared for during this sacred time. This role is deeply meaningful and ideal for those with empathy, emotional steadiness, and a heart for service.

- No medical experience is required—only kindness, reliability, and the desire to ensure that no one spends their last moments alone. Gentiva is an outpatient hospice, providing comfort care wherever the patient calls home, including nursing homes, private residences, and assisted living communities.
