Americans for Indian Opportunity (AIO), in partnership with the Native Leadership Collective of Albuquerque (NLC), is excited to support the 5th Annual Back to School Backpack Giveaway.
Over the past four years, this event has provided 600 backpacks filled with school supplies to local students. Last year, we distributed a record 276 backpacks—and this year, we’re aiming for 300!
We’re looking for volunteers to help with:
- Loading Supplies and set-up on Tuesday, July 22nd at AIO Office
- Backpack assembly on Wednesday, July 23rd-Friday, July 25th at NPAC Office
- Distribution on Saturday, July 26th at NM Veteran Memorial park
Your time and energy will help ensure Native students in our community start the school year prepared and confident.
