Hello To Everyone!
The City of Albuquerque’s Open Space Division is happy to announce our annual National Trails Day Event on Saturday, June 6th, 2026! We do hope you will join us for this opportunity to help us maintain and improve our beloved Elena Gallegos Open Space (Map Link Included)! We will be gathering at 8:30AM at the Robert E. White Amphitheater (A.K.A the Double Shelter). There will be snacks, coffee, and juice before we get started on our projects. There will be parking available throughout the park and the parking fees will be waived for all National Trails Day participants for that day. Please carpool if you can as parking tends to fill up quickly. Please check the weather beforehand and make sure you dress appropriately (we strongly recommend close-toed shoes). Please bring water, sunscreen, and anything else you may need. The Open Space Division will provide all tools and equipment for the projects. We will meet up again at noon at the Kiwanis Shelter for lunch, and, if you hang around there will be a raffle of prizes donated by our wonderful sponsors!
