Volunteers Needed For:
GREETERS/HOSPITALITY/REGISTRATION – 8- 10 Volunteer
POC: Alma Alvarez, Roxanne Garcia, Melanie Vigil, Dr. Diane Velasquez
Roles:
- Receive and welcome people as they attend
- Check for registration and tickets
- Sell tickets and collect money for sales
- Give directions at the event (Restrooms, Food, Events, Parking, etc.)
- two persons will be runners inform Chuy of dignitaries arrival
Stations:
At the two designated entrances to the plaza
LUNCH STATION ATTENDANT 4 Volunteers
POC: Blanca Borunda & Valerie St John
a. Roles:
i. Observe and assist guests with food as needed
ii. Place information sheets on each table re decorations
iii. Seat dignitaries in assigned areas

b. Stations:
i. Two stations that will be located at each side of the big tents
STAGE GUIDES:(5:00 - 10:00) 8-10 volunteers
POC: Chuy Martinez or Josie Marrujo
Roles:
i. one person at each area will monitor entry to stage and prevent entrance of unauthorized persons
ii. one person will be stationed at each side at the bottom and front of the lower area of stage
iii. one person will be at dressing room area to assist performers as needed
b. Stations:
i. Two Stage ramps @ Civic Plaza Stage)
ii. Green room/dressing room
MEDIA GUIDES: (5:00- 9:00) 3 Volunteers
POC: Dr. Irene Vasquez & Angi G Carver, Robert Torres
Roles:
- Assist the media rep to the designated area to film
- If an interview is requested, use the walkie talkie to contact Josie Marrujo for assistance, if comfortable, do the interview.
Stations:
- Media booth located on Northwest side of the food tents
- Roving
Trouble Shooters & Security: (4:00- 10:00) 10 Volunteers
POC: Richard Roybal & Dennis Montoya
ROLES:
- To observe any intruders attempting to enter the plaza without tickets. observe and report unusual or suspicious activity to Contracted Security Officers.
- Maintain their positions at the exterior and alongside of the fencing barrier and underground entrances to the plaza.
- Do not interfere with Civic Plaza Security officer but maintain vigilance
- Inform Security officer if intruders are identified
- Do not attempt to stop or engage intruders
