Join Our Volunteer Orientation at S.A.F.E. House!
Are you passionate about supporting survivors of domestic violence? Join our dedicated team at S.A.F.E. House and make a difference in the community!
Continue to register here if you are looking to volunteer in a shelter department, such as : The Shelter Office, Maintenance Facilities, Kitchen, Children's Corner, etc (shelter positions require a CYFD background check)
If you want to volunteer in our thrift store, please register under REQUIRED ORIENTATION FOR THIRFT STORE VOLUNTEERS. (Thrift store does not require a background check)
Orientation Details:
When: Every 1st Friday of the month (unless the shift is not listed below).
Where: S.A.F.E. House (address is undisclosed until confidentiality form and ID are provided)
During the orientation, you’ll:
- Learn about our mission, programs, and services
- Discover volunteer opportunities and roles
- Fill out the volunteer application form and make a schedule.
- Make a volunteer account and show how to log hours on the website.
- Submit a CYFD background check ($62). If the volunteer chooses, S.A.F.E. HOUSE will reimburse the background check once the volunteer completes 16 hours of work. You will need your social security card, credit or debit card, and ID for this.
How to Sign Up:
- Please register/respond here for orientation before registering for volunteer opportunities.
- Pick a Friday that is available and works for you.
- You will upload your ID and click to sign the confidentiality form.
- After you are reviewed and cleared through our shelter system, our Volunteer and Training Manager, Ariana, will email you the next steps.
