Description

Destination Imagination is a non-profit STEAM (Science, Technology, Art, Math) organization that hosts our state tournament in Albuquerque every year. Students from around the state compete in selected challenges in student-driven, skit format presentations.

We are in need of appraisers to judge the tournament entries. Each challenge is about 10 minutes long. There is no qualifications necessary, however you do need to complete a simple online training to understand the judging parameters before the day of the tournament.

We also need volunteers for other positions, such as assisting in the merchandise booth, assisting with guiding students and families to the challenge, and other easy tasks that includes personal interactions.

Lunch is provided for volunteers that confirm by February 20th. There will also be a food truck, and Menchie's on site.

Winners of the challenge receive plaques, medals, and state champion tshirts. They also get a chance to go to Global Finals. However, many students in our state rarely get the opportunity to go to Globals. So we strive to make our state tournament as close to a Globals experience as possible.

Thank you for considering your involvement with us!
