This summer, you can make a real difference in a child’s life! Camp Adventure is looking for volunteers to support children with disabilities through games, creativity, and connection.
Volunteer roles include helping with operational things like facilitating check-in, activity facilitation for things like water games and crafts, and being a counselor that works directly with a group of children.
Timing-wise, we ask for full day availability, as people coming and going through the day can be challenging for the children. Timing runs between 7am-2:30pm depending on volunteer role.
Online training is required online before coming, and any volunteers over the age of 18 must pass a background check. Volunteers must be a minimum of 15 years of age by the start of camp, June 8.
The final location of camp is kept private for safety reasons until potential volunteers have been background checked/screened. For planning/consideration purposes, it will be taking place near I-40 and Wyoming.
Volunteers that respond to the need here on ABQ One will be sent a follow-up link with our volunteer screening form, which then follows to a BG check for those over 18. We will also provide a sign-up specific to roles and days after the initial screening application/BG check.
